Nikola Mitrovic – introduction

I’m born in Leskovac, a city in south Serbia. I work in GoDaddy, and I’m part of the team which stands behind ManageWP.

I worked as a Customer Happiness engineer for a long time, so WordPress debugging became a daily routine for me. Now, I’m a Project Coordinator, but I still tackle with WordPress problems on a daily basis. Due to my southern accent, people have difficulties in understanding what I’m saying in Serbian, but this talk will be in English so you won’t have the same problem.

What does WordCamp mean to me

From my point of view, WordPress is all about community. The greatest advantage of WordPress is a tremendous group of people who support it worldwide, and Meetups and WordCamps are a great way to connect with all of them, share ideas, experience, and acknowledge what the community is doing for us all.

How did I get to WordPress and how I use it

I used WordPress  for the first time during studies, and it didn’t take much to become an enthusiast. Since then, WordPress is the main platform (usually the only platform) that I work on. Almost every part of my work is related to WordPress somehow, so one might say that I truly live WordPress.

How did I choose the subject

I choose to talk about WordPress debugging, since that is the biggest obstacle for every WordPress user, especially for people who want to dig into this world.

What do I teach about in the lesson:

The main goal of my lesson is to help everyone create their own mindset when tackling a WordPress issue .  Similar mindset helps me save a lot of time, but it took a long way to get here. Hopefully, this talk will help everyone get there much quicker than I did.
